For my Mix 2 there was no problem flashing over the previous 8.6.21 ROM. Afterwards wipe Dalvik cache and re-boot to System.

Finally found a solution, using ADB. "settings get global tether_dun_required" command returned 'null', then using "settings set global tether_dun_required 0" and then reboot appears to have fixed it.

Have not tried another Android device, found the XDA thread, has a few options there.

Confirmed no issue on Mix 2, check the app notifications if you are not getting vibration or no lock-screen alerts, at least for WhatsApp it is working when the settings are defined "per app" rather than left at "default".

MI5 has multiband LTE-A functioning, with 2CA, but not B20 (800MHz). You are probably on B3 (1800MHz), B1 (2100MHz), B7 (2600mMHz) or B8 (900MHz).

Likewise with SuperSU, version 2.82 roots MiMix2 without issue.

Mi Mix 2 [128/6GB] ROM 8.6.14 WiFi hotspot not working after update. Multiple PC and mobile device restarts and re-creation of the hotspot has not cured it. ICMP PING to a known IP address does not work, so it is a basic connection error. Anyone else seeing similar behaviour?
