What's the relation between the radio versions in this thread and (minimum/related) Android version? Can we flash an older radio (from a pre 4.4 ROM) into a Kitkat ROM device and expect it to work? I'm asking this concerning the Bluetooth problems I have, as I'm sharing most of the symptoms...

Yes, surprisingly it worked straight away. No compatibility mode needed: just Install, in settings-sounds-music effects enable it. Reboot and it was working. In other KitKat ROMs I had more issues to get it working Sent from my MI 2S using Tapatalk

He he, sorry to have caused all this extra commotion. I'm indeed using xposed and I'm v happy with it. Now I know why the art choice didn't stick. If there was not the crappy Bluetooth stability and quality issues, then KitKat aosp from Ivan would be enough. Now I'll keep looking at the others...

I used viper4android before, didn't improve Bluetooth route issue

It's not a pure dsp or not issue, as the sound using proper headset is ok. The Bluetooth route is the issue, bad timing on data transfer and crackles etc. headset is ok. Anyway I checked the latest Ivan build myself now, same issues. Speed seems to be ok but lots of extra noises.

Can anyone tell how the audio quality is toward Bluetooth headset or car connection? I have had various problems with all KK ROMs I have tried so far. Bad playback speed with regularly re-syncs, hissing and popping sounds etc. Other devices work fine so its the KK ROM. A MIUI ROM also work fine...
