Right now, after countless attempts at installing TWRP via Updater app, I still get the Mi Recovery. I was wondering if I should try via fastboot even if the guide says you install it via Updater if you're already on a xiaomi.eu ROM.

Well, it's basicly the same guide but with the addition of SuperSU. The question still stands: can I flash the recovery this way even if I'm already on a xiaomi.eu ROM?

Sadly, I tried all four of them multiple times with the same result. I'm talking about the 7.6.14 release which (correct me if I'm mistaken) should be the latest weekly release for Mi Note. Can't really download it in any way. EDIT: Tried with a couple older releases too, nothing.

Yeah, I imagine flashing a custom recovery is the most practical way, could use a nandroid backup. Can I flash TWRP with Flashify? Should I wipe both data and system before flashing the newest ROM or it's okay doing just caches and data? Thanks for the answer. ;)

Well, yes, a completely bugless software is hard, if not impossible, to find. But I'm on the latest KitKat build and the experience I have now is what I call realisticly bugless. Not sure if I'm going to jump onto the MM train until it'll be sturdy enough for the devs to release it in a stable...
