How To Easily Install Twrp Recovery

Right now, after countless attempts at installing TWRP via Updater app, I still get the Mi Recovery. I was wondering if I should try via fastboot even if the guide says you install it via Updater if you're already on a xiaomi.eu ROM.

How To Easily Install Twrp Recovery

Well, it's basicly the same guide but with the addition of SuperSU. The question still stands: can I flash the recovery this way even if I'm already on a xiaomi.eu ROM?

How To Easily Install Twrp Recovery

Sorry if I write about this so late. I can't seem to flash TWRP via Updater app on my Mi Note, so I'm stuck to the last version of the xiaomi.eu ROM that didn't need TWRP. If I start the flashing via Updater I quickly see a progress bar that goes away in half a second, leaving me with a normal...

Downloads For The Weekly Roms Are Impossibly Slow

No problem. I downloaded the ROM but I still have to flash TWRP. Sadly, it seems that flashing the virgo zip from the Updater app doesn't work for me (it just reboots the phone without making any changes), and since root is not working here either, I can't use Flashify. Is there anything else I...

Downloads For The Weekly Roms Are Impossibly Slow

Thanks for the answer! On the MiNote there was no base change. It has been on marshmallow since 6.1.28 and it is still based on android 6.0. Does this mean that I can upgrade to the latest ROM with no problems or there's something else to it than the android version? As I said, the Mi Note...

Downloads For The Weekly Roms Are Impossibly Slow

Oh, didn't see the MiNote release on the sourceforge link, just the MiNotePro one, so I assumed there wasn't a virgo version. It seems there's one in the androidfilehost link and it's downloading in reasonable time, thanks! If I may ask a slightly off-topic question, can I upgrade directly...

Downloads For The Weekly Roms Are Impossibly Slow

Sadly, I tried all four of them multiple times with the same result. I'm talking about the 7.6.14 release which (correct me if I'm mistaken) should be the latest weekly release for Mi Note. Can't really download it in any way. EDIT: Tried with a couple older releases too, nothing.

Downloads For The Weekly Roms Are Impossibly Slow

I can't really download any weekly ROM for my MiNote because download speeds from androidfilehost are unbelievably slow, constantly under 10kb/s. There's no other way to get ROMs faster? I'm in Europe and the only available mirrors are in the US, but this is really too slow to be suitable, I...

How To Easily Install Twrp Recovery

There's no ROM I want to install right now, I just want to install TWRP on the ROM I already have, which is very old and based off KitKat. I want to make a nandroid of it by installing TWRP before installing any new ROM. There is only ONE version of TWRP for virgo to download here on xiaomi.eu...

How To Easily Install Twrp Recovery

I still have a xiaomi.eu weekly ROM based on KitKat on my Mi Note (virgo). I would love to do a nandroid with TWRP before updating my phone to latest builds. Can I flash that version of TWRP directly from KitKat or do I need to install a Marshmallow build first?

My Mi Note Is Heavily Outdated: How Do I Act?

Yeah, I imagine flashing a custom recovery is the most practical way, could use a nandroid backup. Can I flash TWRP with Flashify? Should I wipe both data and system before flashing the newest ROM or it's okay doing just caches and data? Thanks for the answer. ;)

My Mi Note Is Heavily Outdated: How Do I Act?

Hello, I have a Mi Note (virgo) on the weekly xiaomi.eu ROM that I haven't updated in a long time. I'm stuck with the last KitKat ROM. I remember having installed it twice, so my system partitions should now be merged into one. But I never went on and installed Marshmallow, I simply forgot about...

    MULTI 6.2.18

Well, yes, a completely bugless software is hard, if not impossible, to find. But I'm on the latest KitKat build and the experience I have now is what I call realisticly bugless. Not sure if I'm going to jump onto the MM train until it'll be sturdy enough for the devs to release it in a stable...

    MULTI 6.2.18

Any news about Marshmallow release in the stable branch? If I want nothing but a bugless everyday experience should I stick with KitKat on my virgo?
