By far the worst battery standby I can remember Redmi Note 2. Not found other issues so far - someone mentioned widgets FC on his rn2 , but mine is ok .

The FC was present in the first rom - maybe users don't realise it's fixed now as it wasn't mentioned when re-uploaded . Sorry for trying to be helpful .

To me the 5X is the A1 with added miui . From what I can see it doesn't share the design characteristics of the Mi 5 series - I reckon they put it together principally for Androidone , then gave it the miui treatment so as not to waste their efforts / get some sales . I like the look of both...

Ok , sorted it out now by going back to previous week's version and reinstalling . Strange as I had no problems before version 3 . Also the updater is saying install ,even though it already is , rather than stating I am up to date .

I guess so, but I would have thought it would be a conscious decision to buy it , specifically for stock and the promised Android upgrades . Unless it was cheaper than Mi 5x wherever they bought it . Looks nice though , should still be happy with it .

Even if you could , why would you want to ? Isn't stock Android the whole point of Mi A1 ? Otherwise you should have bought Mi 5X .

I can't remember if you have mentioned it - did you update manually or use ota . There seems to have been some issue with an ota at some point , but the manual download I used is fine ...for me at least .
