Hi, I am porting MIUI to the epic. Any advice? Which files are phone dependent and which are ROM Dependent? Porting from NS4G boots, but has screen flicker, how can I fix that. Fascinate ports to epic don't boot. Sorry about so many questions, but I want my MIUI (and MTV).

The problem isn't only the kernel though, because the CM Kernels don't work either. Maybe try the updater script from a build that shiftr182 sent me, ported from the Nexus S 4G. It flashes and goes past the samsung screen to the miui boot animation, but never goes past there for me...

Maybe (and hopefully) once we get the Samsung (or suck) GB official build and kernel, we can be added to the official MIUI build thingy. Is that a possibility Mike (or other devs)?

I've tried to install later versions of the MiUi Music app with the slick black UI, but they look the same blue UI as before. Is there a way to get it to look black? Is it just froyo thats the problem? Is there a theme I can install? I'm running 1.3.5 on Samsung Epic 4G (most recent available...

Also, some aspects of TouchWiz may be integrated as time goes on, and if people like them enough. I have a Galaxy S (Epic 4G) and to me TouchWiz 4 and 3 look pretty much the same. 4 Looks a little slicker than 3, but I don't think there's many major changes.

As far as I know, that's not accurate. I read that it takes Android, iOS, TouchWiz, and Sense and makes its own hybrid, but I think that's just from a UI standpoint. Otherwise, Galaxy S devices probably would've been supported a lot earlier.

In CWM 2.5 what do you select to flash a ROM and what for a kernel? Is it easier/better to ODIN instead?

Would it be possible for you to include the kernel in the ROM like ahmgsk did?

Can someone please post a video and/or screenshots of this current build. Is it good enough now for daily use?

As soon as they fix it so we can recieve sms, I'll flash this. @devs Will that be soon? Any timeframe? Ahmgsk had the same bug in his early builds on XDA, but as far as I know, he fixed it.

Which Build is this? After it boots, does it work okay?

@fusingblackrose You said somewhere in this thread that Gingerbread for Epic wouldn't be possible. If that is so, then how did they port it to the Vibrant and Galaxy S when they're pretty much the same phones, especially since they're on the official ROM thing now.

Does this have 4G? When will v4 be out? Is it worth flashing v3 if v4 is soon?

What advantage to using this over stock?

Also, not to rush you, but when are you planning to release v3? In Dev lingo, would this be considered an Alpha?
