In the settings of Play Store it says that my device is not certified. I saw that another of my Xiaomi smartphone, which uses Xiaomi.eu rom is certified so I wonder if there is a way to make it work? As I'm based in China I prefer to keep the official MIUI version of Xiaomi.
Thanks for your answer and info. Well more weeks have passed since then and I stay on my position. This 48 mgpxl things is just marketing bullshit. Maybe it helps a bit with the quality in compare to a normal 12 mgpxl sensor, but it's not about resolution bullshits. To me this is a very sneaky...
I tried several times with different versions of MiFlashUnlock and one time it worked. Btw I used the exact same sim-card in the phone for both accounts and that sim-card is actually even not linked to any of these accounts.
I could skip the waiting period by doing this:
**** You need two account with the authorization to unlock the bootloader (http://en.miui.com/unlock/) ****
1) Install latest official version (10.2.8.0 Chinese stable, android 9.0) directly from MIUI
3) Check that the first Xiaomi...
I'm using MIUI 10.2.8.0 (Xiaomi.eu, Stable) on my Redmi 7 Note. So far it works fine but I have some issue with writing permission on the MicroSD card. If I use the default file manager I can write, rename, delete, etc... no problem. File Explorer asked me to allow the app to write files...
At first don't cry. I had this exact same message after unlocking the smartphone and I solved it. Now I have TWRP and Xiaomi.eu working. Also, for the people who thinks this is the unlock path/code or even the password of the Xiaomi account, none if them worked for me.
Unfortunately I forgot...
But on the website of TWRP they also recommend "system", "endor" and "Vendor Image":
If I backup everything, when I restore the phone can I chose which one I want to restore or everything will be restored automatically?
I would like to create a full and clean backup of my Redmi Note 7 but in TWRP I have much more than what most tutorials say, so I'm not sure of what folders I should select. Could someone confirm me which one are important and which one aren't ?
Here is the full list of folders...
Hey third party apps are unable to write on the MicroSD card of my Redmi Note 7. Even the FTP function in the File Manager can't write/delete files. Anyway to fix it without root?
#Edit: Actually I can write with ES File Explorer and there the FTP function works. But the FTP function from the...
I've just bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (Hongmi Note 7 or 小米红米Note 7) and started doing some camera tests to see which settings are the best. I'm opening this thread to share some observations that I did concerning the so-called "AI" mode and the "48 megapixels" mode, or I should say...
I just had the same problem. If I'm right it is trying to check update on some Google servers, which are blocked in China. I solved the problem by connecting to a hotspot or WIFI that pass through a VPN.
#Edit: Apparently all the instructions detailed here can be done with the Universal toolbox by Papka__. So have a look here:
I know that there are several topics about flashing from Windows to MUI...
