    MIUI 13 21.12.29/30 - First MIUI 13

Thank you for that idea. Wouldn't have thought about it precisely because I was convinced this was some kind of system service not an app that could be reset - even if a system app at that. At the moment the random reboots seem to have disappeared but I haven't switched to the phone as my daily...

    MIUI 13 21.12.29/30 - First MIUI 13

Updated my Redmi K40 Pro+, which has been in the drawer since last April due to no recovery version. Update went smooth. Initially, I got a message that 'Permissions' was crashing but this went away after a few reboots - no idea (yes, I waited for the 'completing system update' message to...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

Yes, you can use the script for updating without wiping data (there are two scripts in each fastboot release, one is called XXXXX_fastboot_update_rom.XXX, the other one wipes the data partition, so I move/delete it in the directory to not make a mistake) and there is some complicated way of...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

There is no recovery ROM at the moment since there is no official TWRP build for haydn. Only fastboot is supported and that is a bit wonky / dangerous, so the only thing you can use this TWRP for is pretty much rooting your phone or making backups. I would also recommend sticking to the stable...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

Dude. You posted a screenshot, then started talking about some nonexistent M2012K11 G5 models, which would indeed indicate a alioth instead of haydn, then you said something about the Xiaomi Mi11X and in the end you said your package says Mi11i (and how should we know if you didn't buy e.g. a...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

Well, seems OK, so indeed this ROM should work. Mind though that many people (including me) have bricked their phones when flashing through fastboot and the reasons for that are not quite understood - seems to be that some version combinations (which version you're flashing FROM and which you...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

The photo says M2012K11G, not G5, so I have no clue where you got the G5 from. Make a screenshot of this screen to be sure:

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

Where did you buy the phone? Also, where are you getting the model information from? Maybe someone put a Pocophone F3 into a Mi11i box. Again, I would trust the box less than the proper model designation found in the phone itself. You check the model by going into Settings -> All specs and look...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

Uhm... Probably not... First of all there's no "G5" model designation, you probably mean M2012K11 5G. That's still a Poco F3 and so on, not a device compatible with this ROM. If you want brick your phone then go ahead. ;)

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

The files are just scripts executing the flashing procedures. One wipes the userdata partition the other one doesn't. For updates use ./windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat and it pretty much doesn't matter from what zip you use it though I'd recommend using the script provided in the latest package...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

Just an update after all this time: After my phone had been gathering dust in the drawer as I didn't want to go through the hazardous fastboot, I actually summoned the courage to flash to V12.5.4.0 stable. It worked like a charm and I even managed to root the phone without issue. I guess the...

    MIUI 12.6 21.6.9

Meanwhile there seems to be an updated version making the rounds. However, I managed to successfully get 3.5.1 to boot on my Redmi K40 Pro+, I just have no ROM to test the flashing process with... Since a lack of non-fastboot-roms (after having managed to get at least SOME version of xiaomi.eu...

    MIUI 12.6 21.6.9

Just a quick question - now that there are working TWRP builds coming out for haydn (HMK40Pro), when will we switch to non-fastboot roms? In the list they are already not marked as fastboot but I checked the latest files and they're all still fastboot. :(

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

    1. It was xiaomi.eu_multi_HMK40Pro_MI11i_21.4.22_v12-11-fastboot.zip and it was around a week ago. It never worked for me, even when flashing from Xiaomi.eu stable. 2. One way to do it: Press the Windows button. Type in powershell and right-click on the shortcut that pops up in the search...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

I was on the latest China ROM through the updater and the first ROM I flashed was the weekly ROM, which never worked for me, even after a cycle of 2 successful flashes/unbricks. Now I'm at V12.0.9.0.RKKCNXM indeed. Generally, if your flash fails (e.g. upon swiching slots, which is what most...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

First things first is not having anything of importance on your new phone. If that's the case, then you can flash away and pray to the fastboot gods that it works as you will be able to unbrick eventually. ;) My post-factum advice, considering how much time unbricking cost me (though I think we...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

Cool! So together with @max.ouyang 's observations we're getting close to a reliable solution to the bootloop problem. I have to admit, I managed to soft-brick my phone again after fixing it by trying to flash Xiaomi.eu 21.4.22 but also managed to unbrick it as well by using a similar procedure...

[GUIDE][haydn] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

I don't want to claim to be an expert, considering my problems with the fastboot ROM but the difference between the recovery and fastboot ROMs, from what I understand, is just the flashing method. That's why official ROMs also usually come in both flavors, especially the stable versions. When...
