Just as I imagined, Xiaomi have NOT fixed this utterly annoying bug! Despite of what they said when I got a response from them. 12.5.17 not working.

Well, might be too soon to speak but 12.5.17 on Mi 11 ULTRA recent apps is working! Seems like this annoying issue has been fixed.

Great! I'll definitely try your config out, but I have never used Tasker (but bought it a while ago). Let's see if I can figure out how to do, or do you mind posting a few steps on how to get going?
