Did you boot to correct TWRP? It is twrp-3.6.2_12-v3.7_A12-venus-skkk.img for Mi 11.
Unarguably TWRP flashing is more convenient since you don't need a computer every time.
Nebrassy TWRP doesn't support A12.
Unplug USB from phone or computer right after fastboot boot twrp.img finishes and phone starts to boot to TWRP. Then you can flash ok.
That's true and no one is arguing that anymore. But let's think this way: if you add haydnpro to device check, what is the harm? It will at least workaround a TWRP bug until it is fixed. And since there is no haydnpro it won't break any device.
Fair enough. It's not a big deal to me to change that manually, although I cannot see any harm to add "haydnpro" until skkk fixes this but it's your choice obviously.
You have a file twrp.img.img because your Explorer hides extensions. Remove additional .img
If you write dir on cmd.exe window you can see it yourself. You can also rename there using command ren twrp.img.img twrp.img
Also, that recovery image doesn't explicitly have to be named as twrp.img so...
A workaround is to change the first line in a file META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script
Replace "haydn" with "haydnpro" or comment it out completely by adding # in front of the line.
Hopefully the next weekly also checks for "haydnpro".
