I made a multi way reboot for my port to the NS4G yesterday. Works on MIUI ICS for the Nexus S, Nexus S 4G and HTC EVO 4G (all MIUI V4 ICS 2.4.13)

Needs META-INF Folder, apktool does not add it
So you can either take the AndroidManifest.xml and META-INF folder from original apk and place it in your modified one or use a tool like ApkManager to sign the apk and make a flashable

I was able to decompile/recompile latest apk's and jar's from todays update (Nexus S ICS) so hopefully this helps

The only problem Im having is that I cant put my fixes into the ROM, so the user has to flash rom, reboot, then there will be a lot of phone force closes, then you have to reboot to recovery, flash fixes then everything is alright

Hey guys, I've been searching the forums and couldn't fina a definitive answer
Here's the issue: I recently ported latest MIUI ICS to Nexus S 4G and am trying to mod Mms.apk to get working MMS
I install framework-res.apk from MIUI ICS, go decompile Mms.apk but get met with a slew of errors...
you need to decompile it with apktool. Install resources from your framework-res.apk
apktool if framework-res.apk
then decompile your SystemUI.apk
apktool d SystemUI.apk
Then replace that file in the directory I posted, recompile, sign, make a flashable then ur good
To anyone having the double signal issue (usually on CDMA devices)
I replaced the StatusBarPolicy.smali found in SystemUI\smali\com\android\systemui\statusbar with a modded one for CDMA devices
