MIUI based on CM7/CM7-Nightly/AOSP/OTA?

Hi, i just want to know on what MIUI is based. Over at xda there are some tweaks for CM7, such as a new libsqlite and so on. So is MIUI based on CM7 or AOSP or OTA? If it is CM7, which one is it. Is it based on the latest nightlys or the stable ROMs? I am a bit confused :D

When do i have to wipe? Never? like in CM-Nightly?

Hi, i just dont get when i have to wipe my phone. Is MIUI based on the CM7-Nightlies or what? In that case we wouldn't have to wipe anything before the weekly update. But since MIUI China changes a lot every week i am not sure. Can i just update without wiping every week or do i have...
