WiFi hotspot not working on MI5 Prime version with 7.11.9 Devices connects to phone WiFi but they don't have internet access.

Running fine so far on Mi5 3/64 Battery is not on the happy side but on standby it doesn't drain. Everything running fine except for my Pebble, the app is working fine but the watch doesn't receive any notification.

Safest method: Download a fastboot version of a Developer MIUI (China if you wanna flash Xiaomi.EU Rom), flash it with MiFlash (clear all option enabled) and the phone in Fastboot mode, then after first boot enable developer options, reboot the phone in Fastboot mode then via ADB shell flash...

Many phones have that 4G icon which is not correct (HTC just to name one). You should probably ask Xiaomi why is it gone, I don't think that this Dev Team makes such changes.

No you haven't actually, otherwise you'll enter in TWRP recovery instead of the image you described. Or you have locked bootloader or you have flashed wrong your TWRP recovery.

Install a TWRP recovery

@graw2 should I use latest TEST TWRP build (3.1.0), stable TWRP (3.1.0) or latest 3.0.2-3 on Mi5 after fastboot flash of a China Dev with MiFlash? Last time I tried it was with the test one (which is the latest available via XDA) and ended stuck on Mi logo.

Sometimes fixing a bug end up breaking something else... And based on the fact that two identical phones with identical hardware reacts always in a different way the only correct way is to try out on every device every time...

Flash via TWRP after the usual wipes

My Mi5 either with Global or with Xiaomi.EU have the issue, rooted or not it doesn't change. The issue persist. I haven't tested the workaround that was posted by @graw2 because with his method the phone doesn't even complete the first boot and stays stuck at Mi logo.

Stuck at boot logo. Tried out that too, as soon as Play Services gets updated the issues starts again.

In those cases it is obviously not pointless, but where I live it is.

I know my LTE bands, in Italy B20 is 800Mhz FDD-LTE and is the slowest (but the one with the widest field coverage), limited to 50mbps, if in other regions of Europe is different is not in my knowledge.

I was talking about the Mi5C... And B20 LTE is quite useless since it runs at 50mbps, while HSPA+ works at 42.2... So it's the most pointless LTE band
