Can I apply for it when I have the phone, or can I do it now? I want be able to unlock, when the phone arrives. How long does it take to get the code usually?

I'm still waiting for the delivery of the phone and downloaded the tool above. But if I'm signing in with withe xiaomi account, it says its cheking the permissions and the the device is not supported. I must then go to the chineese forum, get registered and its still saying the device is not...
