    Since moving from MIUI 7 to MIUI 8 I've noticed that changing notification sound in settings doesn't change "message sent" sound for SMS. Is that intended or is it a bug?

    Nvm. it seems to work. Now, I managed to update it ROM by ROM to first one with android 5.1 (6.3.25). Is it advisable to continue this way or could I simply update it to last one with MIUI 7 (6.5.26) without issues? Question is about using updater app only.

    I bought a Redmi 2 Enhanced phone with 6.1.28 weekly rom installed and it shows no further updates. So, can I just download a ROM from the next thread (6.2.18) in the weekly roms subforum and use the updater app to update, without losing any settings/phone data?

    I'd like to know the answer to this as well. Is there an order of ROMS that can be used with updater without going into recovery or wiping all data?
