Ok thanks, back to old reflashing with ancient miui 7 and unlock bootloader that way

trying to unlock boot loader, finally got a message of approval, downloaded mi unlock, run through it and end up with Device not Supported? Anyone else had this issue with Mi4c?

Yea went back to 6.12.22. Had to re-unlock bootloader using EDL mode. Simple process just a hassle, am waiting on proper unlock authorization from Xiaomi. Mi4c 3GB 32GB

No, i requested for unlock code yesterday. They have a 10 days time frame to respond with unlock code. So i unlock it without code but alot more hassle

Yes you need unlock bootloader, you can always unlock it by reflashing with old miui 7 using miflash and then unlock it. But once you install 7.2.9 bootloader will be locked again. Atleast that's what i get when using TWRP 3.0.2.0 Libra

Device: Mi4c 3GB-RAM 32GB-ROM I have installed 7.2.9 and bootloader locked, so i want to unlock it again but don't have the patience to wait 10 days. Is there a way of unlocking this without having to go back to the older miui 7 using this guide...

Thanks guys I have the MIUI EU installed and running... had to unlock and install TWRP first though, great learning curve for me... I also tried CM13 and Mokee before going to MIUI EU... all working well on Mi4c 3/32

I suggest use EU ROM... if you want to stay with the MIUI Theme and Style... otherwise MOKEE or CM13.1 I unlocked my Mi4c a few days ago and tried MOKEE and CM13.1 ... now i'm using MIUI 7 EU, i love the elegance of MIUI interface (Had an iPhone previously)...
