Thanks for your reply. Followed the steps a few times, but it keeps hanging at 42%. There you make a valid points as it appears to be hanging at most Apps that I installed, but also at Apps in the MIUI ROM like messaging -yep some people still send texts :P -and call history. Isn't that odd?

Hi, it appears that this issue will be there longer than before we have a chance to perform a backup. Do you have any suggestions to use an App or are we doomed to a manual backup via usb to pc?
