Thanks, i just found it on China DEV ROM. Is it possible to use fingerprint and this lock screen password at the same time, i.e. decrypt the phone after reboot and then using fingerprint?

I just came across this link http://en.miui.com/thread-405166-1-1.html Seems the phone must be running GLOBAL STABLE or CHINA STABLE ROM. Your devices must not be rooted. Bootloader must be locked.

+1 I am also interested in this because it stops me to unlock the bootloader and to flash with xiaomi.eu ROM.

I am also interested in this because non working NFC (it was reported somewhere) and encryption stops me to flash the phone with xiaomi.eu ROM. @cristids any progress about encryption?
