Updated with Weekly Miui 8.3 - 7.2.16/17. Everything seems ok again without wiping data. (didn't fancy a backup/restore action) Gallery working. Notes working. Solved. Also don't see the Stable ROM's benefits. Thanks for the advice.

Notes fix has worked. Tried to do the same with gallery, but can't clear data nor cache (greyed buttons). Any idea? Do you recommend an update to weekley Miui 8.3 - 7.2.16/17 without wiping data, or a full backup, factory reset and restore of my current 8.2 Stable? Thanks
