So i can update like before ( when i updated the all versions of MIUI 8.6 ) , i download the file , put on phone , and go to options and update with select file ?

But this version 9 , its Android 7 ? - i have android 7 on my mi5 But im noob for phone update. Normally i download the file ( 1 Gb ) , i put it on the memory of the phone, after i go to options ---- update ---- update with file and i select the file. I must do the same ?
