Has The Automatic Time Zone Issue Been Resolved?

i just did a quick search on this and the most recent post I saw was October of 2011. I just installed the latest MIUI (GB) on my HTC HD2 and it is _still_ having trouble with automatic time zone detection. Any guidance is appreciated.
