Rom for Redmi Note 8 on Redmi Note 8T: why not?

No, nothing in that ROM will mess up or break RMNote8T if flashed correctly. But all that discussion is a bit of a moot point now cause there's an stable Xiaomi.eu published MIUI 12 ROM for willow... get it, flash it and enjoy it. I did, and it is really good. Hope this helps. Take care and...

    Bootloop on redmi note 8

Hi there... I think you need to open the .tgz file (fastboot ROM file you've downloaded) with 7zip, then you need to extract the ZIP inside the tgz. After that, unpack newly extracted .zip to a folder, then finally point MiFlaahTool to fully extracted ROM and everything should work.

    Note 8 bootloop

That's interesting 'cause my Note 8T runs on xiaomi.eu's MIUI 11 ROM (11.0.5.0 PCXMIXM, updated from 11.0.4.0 recently) without any problems whatsoever. Just like Mr. Slenderman said few posts above, my curiosity tends to get the best of me and since I've flashed almost every single device...

    Note 8 bootloop

It's good to hear you've got your device back. Don't let this set back deter you from going after better software for your device. The trial and error is how most of us (especially myself) learn, so try again... Pay attention to instructions in the tutorial, ask what you think isn't clear...

Rom for Redmi Note 8 on Redmi Note 8T: why not?

Well, now that you'd made up your mind, I can tell you I'm happy you've chosen to wait. I've tried the software and it's all nice and well but you actually can tell it's not the real thing. Suffice to say it lasted about 5 hours on my Note 8T before it was replaced by a different ROM...

Rom for Redmi Note 8 on Redmi Note 8T: why not?

True, but then again they are tweaked ROM's made for another device so - the way I see it - they are kinda preview of things to come, not something to use in one's everyday life. That being said, now that you have the link you can try the ROM or not.. either way, have fun. :D

    Note 8 bootloop

So, every try to do a regular boot ends up in the loop you've described, at least that's how I've got what you're saying. Even though I'm risking more uncalled rudeness here, I have to ask - have you tried to to start up your phone directly into the fastboot (Power + Vol-)?

Rom for Redmi Note 8 on Redmi Note 8T: why not?

Try some of these files.. They are Note 8 (ginkgo) ROMs slightly tweaked to allow flashing onto willow (Note 8T). Have fun

    HMnote8 also for willow?

Alright, here's the deal... Here you'll find unofficial MIUI 12 ROM for Redmi Note 8T. The software is actually MIUI 12 for Note 8 (ginkgo) slightly tweaked to allow flashing on Note 8T, so don't look for NFC 'cause it's not present. That being said, it'll give a taste of the real thing to all...

    Note 8 bootloop

Hi guys.. Hate to say it but the only fix for all you with this "no boot after the flashing" issue is to reflash the original MIUI ROM with MiFlash Tool and redo all the custom flashing all over again, this time paying close attention to the flashing instructions in order to avoid the no-boot...

Rom for Redmi Note 8 on Redmi Note 8T: why not?

Then knock yourself out... :D Although, according to info on this page, in the next couple of weeks all of us, Redmi Note 8T owners, will be getting MIUI 12 as an official update. So, maybe it'd be wiser to wait couple of weeks and see what happens. In any case, take care and have fun.

Rom for Redmi Note 8 on Redmi Note 8T: why not?

Hi... I did it myself, installed miui 12 for ginkgo on my Note 8T. It worked ok for a few hours I had it running, no problems at all... ... BUT, as we all know there's no NFC support in ginkgo ROM and that little feature is kinda important to me - ergo, I've reflashed xiaomi.eu's 11.0.4.0...

    Android 10 for 8T

I honestly don't think there's to much more to work on nor that the work on Note 8T is much more challenging than on any other Xiaomi Snapdragon SoC based phone with NFC capabilities. And about custom ROM's for the Note 8T, take a peek here and you'll see that most popular builds have their...

    Redmi Note 8 - xiaomi.eu MIUI 12 help

I myself have always done formating Data after a successful flash and before the first reboot whenever I'm flashing anything that wasn't a direct upgrade of the ROM currently on my device.
