I believe you can go into eri.xml (the same file that changes the Carrier) and find the string for "(No Service)" and change it to whatever you have set as your carrier. If you don't know how to do this, you'll need to look it up on line. It doesnt really have much to do with Andy's Mod. Just...

just want to point out a cool side affect. Droid X miui 1.8.12 doesnt have the custom led option, and this extended settings mod added it in, and it works haha. thanks again andy.

in the mean time, until Andy gets a chance to update, if anyone wants to change the carrier to say something else, just download the rom to your pc, open it up and go to system > framework > drag framework-res.apk to your desktop. open it up and go to res > xml > drag eri.xml to your desktop...

why are you trying to use the extended settings version 1.7.29 with the 1.7.22 rom... you're probably having problems because they're two different versions also, for anyone on droid x, you do need to manually mount system in order for the mod to take effect

In the last version I was able to get just date at lockscreen and just carrier text at homescreen. In this version I can't seem to do that, I have both date and carrier at lockscreen, i can get rid of date but not carrier (unless i want to get rid of carrier at homescreen too), and at homescreen...

yes, im using the droid x. you have to manually mount system from bootstrap when installing this mod. (also, you get a lot of people saying dont use bootstrap on droid x miui becuase it uses 2nd-init, but i've had 0 problems with it using droid x bootstrap, not sure why they're so worried.)
