If your device have similar problem pls send back to warranty as Xiaomi confirm is a chip issue and thus replaced a new one for me....

Please bring your device for warranty, as your 3g chip might be malfunctioned like mine, went for warranty and they acknowledged that there is a problem with that and thus replaced my phone

hmm i don't think MI2 can flash yet...MIRecovery rejects the package with error 5/update.zip signature verification failed...

hmm doesnt seem to affect me though, do you have screen protector that covers the proximity sensor? if yes please punch a hole or cut the part where it covers... battery life problematic because of the IPS panel i think, my screen consumes 40-56% of my battery life...from 100% - 0% last about...
