Nice to see a custom rom for the Mi3, though I'd really love to see a stock AOSP rom. Why didn't Xiaomi release one, they always did so for previous models. I guess we'll need kernel sources from Xiaomi for a custom AOSP rom, will they release them? Wouldn't it be possible to use Nexus 5...

I had the same, pushed a case opener tool in between the tray and the back side and I got it open. (the back side can bend quite a bit) Strange though. Now after I did this it works as intended and opens ok with the provided tool.

I got mine from Ibuygou, 64GB WCDMA, took me less than a week to get to my place.

Thank you for the fix, I did have to do a full wipe and restore my apps but for now it is working properly. Flashing the patch without wiping didn't work , wiping cache and dalvik alongside with it didn't help either. But thanks! Sent from my MI 2 using Tapatalk

Flash this zip after the rom, it's the newest version of SuperSU.

Backed up everything, wiped data and system, installed new recovery, wiped again, installed rom, installed PA 4.4 gapps, installed supersu from recovery, installed busybox. Works as a charm, restored my apps with Titanium backup coming from WIUI and everything works. Very impressed.

Is anyone using the latest build from grondinm and can he/she share battery consumption details pls? I want to use it as a daily rom but with talk about strange core activity in idle mode I'm worried about battery life.
