Lol. I was just assuming qbert456 :) anyway to both of you, I am logged into "xiaomi services" because you need xiaomi credentials to access themes, so that's why I don't get any notifications. So if you don't need themes you could also try to disable Xiaomi Services Framework (com.xiaomi.xmsf)

Easy way is click the "do not enable cloud messaging" in the banner. It should be the most straightforward thing you could do. Open messaging>Settings>Enable cloud messaging to off. Another way is to execute this command (adb shell or scripter) pm disable com.miui.cloudservice or use other apps...

yes, this a new framework change, it seems. i have it on galaxy s2. I'm not sure why it was added. on whatsapp it looks a bit odd. i'm trying a few tutorials to remove the three dot menu, but to no avail yet.

It's a galaxy s2. space left in /system partition is about 12 MB after update. Yet since I wanted to view emojis, I had to remove email.apk,exchange.apk and fileexplorer.apk which i don't use.

I fixed my problem. too few space in /system for this weekly caused wrong overwriting. Should we move into /preload any time soon? :D

can anyone please explain this change? Optimisation – System supports changing system fonts (11-22) I've normally updated to the latest rom and this week i can't update my emoji fonts like usual. I suspect this new change did something I don't know.

Poor you :( I understand why you think of purchasing a new phone then. By the way in the meanwhile you could try transferring files from pc using wireless connection. es explorer does this job just fine.

come on :) you can still try to change the usb port. it's about 15€ from UK. I had to look for this when my usb port was bent down and the phone would stay in charge mode forever.

You must try Reboot into ClockWorkMod recovery. Then select mounts and storage, and choose mount usb. I am sure you can do this as you flashed the rom :) If it still fails, consider a usb port replacement. you could also test if adb works.

what kernel do you use? one thing i'd try is to check if you can mount usb storage in recovery

Nope. On lanucher screen and lock screen you would have a transparent status bar. It's a very nice feature of miui in my opinion.
