Irrelevant to us.
Just a question for the future even if they block gms globally for xiaomi devices which is is really unlikely but still would gms be still included in xiaomi.eu roms

Also one another question about the safety net what will happen if Google fully rolls out the hardware attestation just like few days ago safetynet started to failed due to some changes by Google then what happen to xiaomi.eu roms will they still be rolled out with safety net failed status or will they stopped to be rolled out

These were just two of my very big concerns as a daily driver of this ROM since the beginning of this project

Hello guys. Can you answer a stupid question for me - do I have to change my PIN with a pattern before the next update by OTA or the installer will perform update in TWRP automatically (without need of pass)? My TWRP at the moment is twrp3.4.2b1206 K30Pro wzsx150.

You could try to remove the the screen lock if you face any issue while flashing the ROM regarding encryption and decryption as per my experience I use pattern and it works well for me and using the pattern is better in most cases however if you face any issues you could just remove the lock before OTA update and then added afterwards

They can't block something we put ourselves anyway...

In that case they will break basic attestation for a huge amount of devices that don't have hardware attestation support to begin with. They won't do that unless they are looking for backlash and potentially lawsuits by both users and device manufacturers. In any case, passing SafetyNet has always been a bonus, not a deal-breaking requirement, so I don't think it'll stop us from releasing ROMs. We don't control what Google does.

Thank you for such a detailed response.

This makes me think that rolling out hardware attestation won't be easy for Google.

Due to which it isn't gonna be a deal breaker for Xiaomi.eu Rom users for a very long time.

Lol, on my previous phone (a very obsucure one; Ulefone Vienna), I had rooted it and probably broke safety net (maybe evn beyond repair), but I ~didn't even notice it ever. @aadil.gillani (But then you might tell me banking apps might not work or that this post is kinda irrelevant to the latest beta..)

Great, no need to worry then. Thank you!

Hi dev.. can you include com.xiaomi.mbnloader in your fw for the next update?

Everytime i install new update, need to bringback vowifi function by rooting the phone & using pdc method on pc

With mbnloader, i can choose my telco country without root and without using pc

Doesn't look like MBNLoader works with Android 11. Some devices have "MODEM test tools" instead.
If you have root:
1) Open the only exposed activity in "MODEM test tools" using any Activity Launcher. (ignore the error on that screen)
2) Enter "su" in adb shell, and then:
Code:
am start -n com.xiaomi.mtb/com.xiaomi.mtb.activity.MtbMbnConfigActivity
(If you skip the first step, second step won't work)
