This was the 1st installation of an update in the last weeks without any problems in TWRP. Once downloaded, the installation went smoothly and in the end it got stuck at the start screen of TWRP. It went so smoothly that I became suspicious. But after rebooting to system I checked the version in the settings and all was installed okay. Perfect.

No (or at least not yet). As far as we know, Xiaomi plans to remove that device from .DEV channel at the end of November.

The OCR Feature of Mi Gallery App is gone after this Weekly update. Please check.
If possible please bring it back in the next update.

just try it a few times...

I don't know if it's a coincidence, but for me it is working faster, if I boot TWRP, choose restart to system and hold instantly the volume-up button, to
boot into twrp again, then it is working for me. (twrp restart to recovery does not work so good)
