8.5.10 is still worse than stock on Redmi Note 5 pro.
I'll test the stable one and report if it's better or not..
Redmi Note 5 Pro is the bullshit Indian variant of Redmi Note 5.
No global LTE bands (only Indian), much worse camera module... Why did you choose this variant instead of the great Redmi Note 5 or Redmi Note 5 Global?

I have the Redmi Note 5 not the pro ( I don't know why I wrote pro xd)

Is it only for me that is extremely laggy and buggy on REDMI NOTE 5??
Nope.. same for me :(

8.5.8 for Mix 2 is a stabile rom or a dev one??? After upgrade from 8.4.4 dev no i Read 9.5.2 stabile.
8.5.8 is Developer (Miui 9.6)

9.5.2 is Stable (Miui 9.5)

Should I have to go trough all pocedure about unlocking new RN 5 global rom version with Mi unlock tool if I am already registered on the old device RN 2 in '' Mi Cloud '' , that is, I have Mi account? Where did it disappear step counter in Oreo 8.1?
Redmi note 5

Just installed 8.5.3 again, this time the system/etc folder was not there when I looked - the normal system file structure was not yet in place after the raw install.
After a reboot into TWRP it was, as before.
??

Anyway, this time, after one try at booting into system, which went to TWRP instead as before, I restored my TWRP backup of data from 8.4.12, no wiping or formatting, rebooted into system - and it works! (so far . . .)
And all my apps, stuff & settings are still in place and functioning.

Update (Mi Note 2):

8.5.3 has been working really well, no problems have surfaced, and very good battery time.

I would not expect the restore of previous "data" in TWRP to always work and always solve all problems.
But it's worth trying, as e.g. Mi Mover and the local backup in MIUI have not worked well at all in my experience.

I don't use the Mi Note 2 as my primary phone (calls), but I have been using it for a lot of varied stuff.

Now I just installed 8.5.10, only wipe cache & Dal., booted up directly, no problems visible so far.

Thanks for your hard work, I've just installed rom 8.5.10 into my Redmi note 5 AI(China version) and everything seems fine. However, I cannot find the face unlook option anymore. Was it removed from this version? Thanks.

hello guys ... I have on 8.3.29 v2 mi5 ... do you think I have problems upgrading to 8.5.10 without formatting the partition data ??

if you have because I think you're changing the Android version from 7 to 8 and it might not start

Choose India or China as Region and reboot. Face Unlock will be back ;)
