Accessing the Systems Partition on Xiaom Mi2

Hi,
I have a Xiaomi mi2 8GB version on miui V5; since it does have a microSD slot i believe the storage is partitioned into the system partition and the user storage. What i'd like to know is how to access the system partition since the default file manager cannot access this partition.

Help would be much appreciated.

Xiaomi MI2 is only 16GB and 32GB. Theres no 8GB version. Also there's no SD card slot in MI2.
