Applying Third-party Themes?

Hello,

I'm somewhat new to MIUI and was quite surprised to learn that while one can import an .mtz file from the SD card, one needs to be a registered as a designer with Xiaomi in order to actually appy the imported theme.

Is this also the case with the Xiaomi.eu ROM, please? Or is there a way around this limitation?

I'm using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mixapplications.miuithemeeditor
No root is needed and it works on original ROM. All you have to do is download desired theme either from forum or any site (.mtz file), drop it in your phone, open app then choose theme and hit apply.
