Are you Voiding your warranty if you root Xiaomi MI-2?

And can I put older version of MIUI on Xiaomi MI-2? For example v2.8.10 which is with ICS? Thanks! :)

I don't think so because mi2 is already rooted when you get it.

Yes. I also think that. But let's other people also to say their statements.

  4. Since Xiaomi provides a fully rooted rom i do not think it would viod the warranty. But that's just it unless we get something direct from xiaomi it's only opinions.....

as for ICS MIUI i do not think that would work.....

    So I can't put old versions, can't I? :(

  6. i would think probably not since the kernel of old version would not have support for Mi2 hardware...but that is just my though on it....

You can't downgrade Mi2 to ICS which came with JB. Kernel is built only to work with JB.

In theory you downgrade to ics but you need the Rom which is built for mi2 not just any build. The build you are talking is not for mi2 may be for mi1 and some other phones.
