Bootloop After Flash

Hello all.

I recently bought two Redmi Note 3 Pro's (with Snapdragon) from Aliexpress.
One for my wife and one for myself.

I requested unlock permission for both since I wanted to flash to a Xiomi.eu rom with my native language in it.
So far so good. After a couple of days I received a message that my wife's phone could be unlocked. Downloaded the unlock tool and everything worked as supposed. Flashed TWRP and the EU rom file without problems. Result: One happy lady...

But then the second one. After two weeks I didn't receive a message for unlocking so I posted a thread on the miui forum where Vincent_Khoo replied me that I should flash developer rom to unlock and carry on.

I managed to flash my Redmi Note 3 Pro using a guide that I found on the forum, ran the unlock tool with succes, flashed TWRP and flashed the EU rom.

Phone reboots, shows a progress bar and then reboots again and is bootloop showing the MI logo...

I have tried several weekly and stable roms, all with the same result.

How should I proceed? Any tips?

You need to miflash now official global rom in fastboot mode, then install zcx twrp, verify it works and boots, then flash xiaomi.eu from zcx twrp

Is zcx twrp something else than "just" twrp?

Yes, it works far better than original twrp.

So... Tried flashing the zcx twrp.

- Fastboot into EDL mode
- Flash global rom with XioMiflash
- Unlock with unlocktool
- adb into fastboot
- flash zcx twrp from fastboot
- start zcx twrp
- copy .eu rom file to the phone
- install the rom with zcx twrp
- Reboot

Did this whole procedure two times now, but without success.

The first time, the phone did boot into Miui, but "hung" on connection to WiFi by not showing any WiFi networks.
I assumed that maybe something went wrong with flashing and decided to do it over again.

Second time, it went in bootloop again, just showing the MI logo.

Almost chewing my phone now...

after flashing zcx twrp, are you able to boot global rom before flashing xiaomi.eu ?

I don't understand you. Should I wipe Dalvik and Cache before installing the .EU ROM?

I would do it yes.

now if still not OK, wipe in addition system and data partitions.
in all cases, leave the device 20 minutes, boot is really long the first time.

Managed to flash stable EU Rom.
Still no succes with flashing the Weekly EU.

This ROM still has a lot of problems for my device. I wasn't able to connect to google servers in first ten attempts.
Now when I connect, my SIM isn't working. Radio off for modem and voice.

I think I will go back to Miui.com weekly rom to check if it is working here...

Or do we have other suggestions?

Indeed you can flash a fastboot official rom to restart from clean.

My problems are getting worse.
After flashing global fastboot rom, I did not have any sensors or camera...

Will try another rom version and hopefully this will work again.

Did you select flash-all script?
Setup as new device without backup to see if it works?

Every time I did select "Flash-all.bat".
I am using the newest MiFlash utility on Windows 10 64bit

I am flashing china rom now, just to try what happens.

Thats normal...because different modems...
You should flash fastboot china dev, take backup with alka or zcx (all partitions) especially EFS,modem, then official unlock on this version and then you can flash whatever. And you have always a backup

When I flash China dev ROM, after reboot I get a page with Chinese text and one button. When I press the button, a wheel starts spinning and the phone reboots and shows me the same screen again...
