Hello everyone,

I am here to report that Bluetooth is not correctly working in the latest weekly release 8.9.20. Some times I disable it and when I try to enable it again it just doesn't.

Fixed with a reboot...

Update: Video demonstrating the bug

I can confirm the same situation. Behaves exactly the same and bluetooth does not work properly. Also sometimes does not work fingerprint, so I have to login with PIN.

Confirmed for 10.0.2
Confirmed for 10.0.4
Once you turn the Bluetooth off, it will not reactivate until you restart the phone.
The same behavior when you put the phone in Airplane mode.
Seems like this is just the service that doesn't restart properly.

This problem is difficult to replicate because it doesn't happen constantly. However, it is there that is why we report it.
How is this difficult to replicate?
Here's the methodology to replicate it:
Step 1: Turn Bluetooth off.
Step 2: Turn Bluetooth on.
Result: Bluetooth does not reactivate, when in the settings menu the option shows as being on, but is grayed out and Bluetooth is still off.

Alternative methodology: replace step 1 with: Switch Airplane mode on.

I've replicated this problem with 100% rate of success.

But 0% on my side, as you can see in the video I posted. That's why reproduction rate is not easily 100%, there are other factors that affect this behavior on your (and some others) phone, which don't exist on my (and some others) phone.
You are using the developer ROM, 8.9.20.
This just means that the bug isn't present in that ROM.

It is, however, present in 10.0.2 and 10.0.4.

Can anyone else on 8.9.20 confirm that the bug is present on that version?

You answer to a quote that already contains the why. Try using logic next time.

That's a weird thing. You see, i'm on 10.0.4 stable and can not replicate the problem. I turned off bluetooth, turned on and it works just intended. I can use my Mi Note 3 with my electronic bracelet and its application.

Another user confirmed that the bug doesn't exist in the versions you mentioned, while another one confirms it exists in every MIUI 10 version. See? It's not that hard to find out the issue is localized to some people's config, not the ROM version.
