    Dear all,

My friend have just bought the China Redmi 2 with Model Number of HM 2LTE-CU. Right now, MIUI version is on MIUI 6.2.4.0 (KHJCNBK) Stable. Is it possible to flash it with the ROM wich are available in MIUI weekly ROM release section, stable version or developer version?

    Thanks in advanced, :)

It is really the Chinese version? It is important to know for sure which version you have, there are 2 versions as far as I know, HM2014813 (Chinese) and HM2014811 (international). I think you can find the number under the battery (not 100% sure).
Once you know which version you have you can flash any rom that is made for your specific model number.
I can provide you a full guide on how to do that, maybe I will post it on this forum soon. I flashed my wife her Redmi 2 last weekend and it works like a charm.

Edit: based on the rom number I think it is indeed the Chinese version, but please verify.
When you want to flash the Chinese model you better go to: http://en.miui.com/forum-65-1.html

The last link contains a guide on how to flash custom recovery. Keep in mind that this is not a permanent flash of CWM. In order to flash CWM permanently you need to rename the file "recovery-from-boot.p". You can do this by downloading a root browser, give it root permissions and find and rename the file.
