Hello.

I bought a brand new Poco F1 to use it with custom roms, but I'm unable to add my xiaomi account to Mi Unlock Status in the developer options which is required to unlock the bootloader. I do always get the message Couldn't add. Device does not exist in the server.

Things I tried:
- Factory-reset
- Updated everything
- log out and back in of my xiaomi account
- use the unlock tool anyway (doesn't work; tells me to add my account to mi unlock status)
- try both sim card slots (of course not both at once)
- syncing everything with the xiaomi cloud to make my account appear more 'real'

I'm trying now since a week and I'm slowly getting desperated. This phone is useless to me without an unlocked bootloader. Isn't there any other way to unlock it?
I send a feedback regarding this issue by using the feedback option in the settings app of my Poco F1. I also wrote an email to xiaomi customer service. No responses so far.
What can I do?

Thank you.
