Chinese version Mi 10 Pro No 5G

I have the latest EU rom and went to a good 5G area.

The 5G comes up on the top right of the phone.
But it stays in Band 3.
I have chosen 5G from the settings but still no go?

Any help would be great..Oh and my sim is in number and no other sim card.

For got to say I'm on the 3 network.
 
Can I flash the European ROM?
The official one I mean.

I've got to get this sorted.

I don't use 5G myself but everyone says it is broken on xiaomi.eu rom (I may be wrong about this).
You can flash global or EEA rom from xiaomi. As far as I know they don't have a problem with 5G but you only get one sim. You also won't get the bands that china version does not support.

If you did flash global or EEA, DO NOT lock your bootloader if it's the china version.

Do you know of any instructions on how to do it and get the global rom?
I have found a cmi_global_images_V12.0.1.0.QJAMIXM_20200716.0000.00_10.0_global_5c4800f5c0.tgz

But I have not got a clue how to flash it.

There are lots of tutorials just search for xiaomi flash tool.

In short:
Extract the file you mentioned
Reboot your phone too fastboot
Connect your phone via usb
Run flash tool
Select the folder you just extracted
Choose clean all
Press flash
Wait a long time

Thanks again.

Going to another 5G area today.
If it stays on band 3 again, I will take a chance and flash the global rom.
 
I flashed EU ROM on my 10 ultra, and I lost 5G connection. 5G was working in the Chinese ROM. Does global ROM work for you?

I couldn't get the global Rom to install.

Thinking of trying the China original Rom.

The Chinese ROM doesn't work well with Google... I prefer the EU ROM.
What a difficult trade off...

What doesn't work? I was using cn rom for a while and.google apps worked with no issue I'm also thinking of going back to cn rom lol

No. For example, it keep switching the default voice assistant app to Mi AI.

I did. After disabling Xiaomi AI, it automatically switch to none for the voice assistant option. Maybe I should uninstall it.
