First of all, I want to make it clear that I'm not accusing this store of fraud.
It is a well known and trstworthy store, but after seeing some posts about fake Xiaomi pistons earphones I need to clear up some things.
I repeat that I trust ibuygou but it could be possible that they accidentally send some fake pistons. Or probably the differences between fake and original earphones are not right in those posts:

http://bbs.xiaomi.cn/thread-8484817-1-1.html

"A" is fake, "B" is original

- Mine, bought form ibuygou just a week ago, show "11g" like the fake ones.

- The cable has some "lost" threads, like in the fakes

And the next things are not clear at all, I can't even see the differences between fake and original in the xiaomi forum post:

Everything else is quite like the original, except that of course I have not disassembled.
I hope someone can help me clear it up. Especially the most evident, the "11g" printed in the box ticket.

11g seems to be right for pistons v1.. I got Pistons v2 from ibuygou and they got 12g weight on the back... its weight of earphones.. not whole package.. whole package got 98g...

original Xiaomi pistons v2 smells like a chocolate.. :)

just to clear up some things....

I bought a pair of piston earphones from a seller on Ebay a couple of months ago
As I'm waiting to arrive I discovered the thread about the differences between original and fake
When my order arrived I noticed the fake spots immediately, without even opening the plastic box!
Badly printed MI logo, not polished metal on earphones, 11g weight...
So I decided to contact the seller for a refund and he aggried without any pressure, he knew that they were fake

Then I order a pair from ibuygou, just to be sure I receive original
The pair from ibuygou has clearly better quality aluminum, nicely print MI logo and also 11g weight just like yours. Also it had this nice scent that many others have mentioned!

So I happen to have in my hands both an original and a fake pair. The differences are clear and very easily spotted
once you see the forum's thread you can easy identify if you have an original or a fake ones.
And I'm pretty sure that ibuygou sells only original Xiaomi stuff ;)

Thanks for your comment. Honestly, I was impressed about the quality and sound, but I checked the thread about fake pistons and then started to doubt.
The lost threads in the cable may mean the Xiaomi Pistons Earphones are not absolutely 200% ultra high HD quality.
Maybe some people can post their thoughts and then close the thread, or change its name so no one will get frightened that ivuygou can sell fake Xiaomi products.

@Danielk
how do you compare the fake to the original Pistons in terms of audio quality? Is there any big difference?

I never opened the fake ones from their plastic case
I was aware from the forum's thread that I may receive fake ones and when I received them and opened the envelope I noticed the fake spots (compared to the thread's photos)
Then I decided not to open the plastic case just to be sure that the Ebay seller will accept them back

So I cannot tell about the fake ones, but the original set has great sound quality and plays really loud on my Mi2S

Thanks for your reply.

I got the fake ones from Ebay -realized they were fake when it was too late to send them back. So, I'm skeptical about whether it's worth buying the real ones.

I should ask the staff to close or edit this thread, since my doubts have been cleared up and I know my earphones are 100% original from Xiaomi. Some people from others forums are reading this and they now think that ibuygou could send fake items.

PS: There are people that have bought fake pistons at spemall.com, I highly recommend you to NOT buy there.

About to chocolate smell.... Is it a component that happens to smell or is it deliberate?!
