Dear all,

I've got a Redmi Note 3 (Mediatek) for a year now and would like to flash it to xiaom.eu rom.

It arrived from honorbuy.com flashed with this rom:
Xiaomi Redmi Note3 Rom Multi Language [MIUI_V7 6.01.14][Lollipop 5.0]
It's available at honorbuy forum, but I can't post links yet. :)

I was wandering if it is possible to flash to xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote3_V8.1.3.0.LHNCNDI_v8-5.0.zip which I guess is the latest from xiaomi.eu for HMNote3, without wiping the data.
What method would you suggest.
If it's recommended to wipe the data, what program do you recommend for backup/restore?

Kind regards,
Ivo

First of all, i think you have vendor rom.

My advice to you is that create mi account, ask for permission to unlock your devices bootloader (mi.com/unlock) and when you get the permission, try to unlock it via mi unlocker what you can download when you get permission (you can download it from mi unlock page where you asked that permission)

Remember to have usb debugging on from developer options. If its not working you need to use sp flash tool to flash official developer rom and then add your device to your mi account.

When that is done, you need to get twrp recovery, what you can install in fastboot mode by using adb commands. Then flash the eu rom via twrp....

Unfortunately you will lose your data, but make backups.
