New Gboard Not Syncing Words

Hello

Just noticed, while running the latest version of Xiaomi.eu's Miui (8.2, 7.1.19 | Beta) that GBoard doesn't sync learned words. This seems to be a bug specific to the Chinese ROM from which Xiaomi.eu's ROM is derived.

The toggle is greyed out and displays the following message:

Sync learned words:
"Sync is not available for devices with G Suite accounts"

Has it already been reported?
Is there a solution for this?

I have something to add to this.
I cloned the whatsapp app and the reported gboard behaviour started.

So, gboard stops syncing words after you clone an app, in my case, whatsapp.
