Going From Stable To Weekly

I am currently on the latest stable ROM I want to go to the weekly ROM can I just dirty flash it .

Try dirty first with cache/dalvik wipes, if problems then full wipe.

Thanks, do you know if the weekly ROM is pre-rooted.
Also how often does the stable ROM get updates
