Google Calendar does not sync (calendar_displayname_local)

Hi,
I used to have a Huawai phone. There I was using my google account and several google calendars.
The calendars are still available on webbased calendar on a computer e.g.

But on my Xiaomi 11T it does not sync the calendars. It shows only calendar_displayname_local.
There normally there should be my 6-8Calendars.

I live in Europe, Germany.

Do you have any Idea why this is so?
I currently use the mi-browser and webbased google calendar to access this - but it is very annoying.

After a clean install I figured out this seems to have been caused by installing google calendar from the play store - in the past you needed to do this and then open it, but this is now causing problems.
