How To Update?

Hi,
I wanted to update my redmi 4 pro with the latest version -> xiaomi.eu_multi_HM4Pro_7.2.9_v8-6.0.zip.
But when I installed it with TRWP it was a fresh installation and all installed apps were gone. I thought It would always update the installed version when I install the weekly builds?

How did you go about flashing the zip?
Did you wipe anything beforehand?

Before I just wiped DATA, CACHE , CALVIK - and then I installed the ROM.

When updating all you need to do is install the .Zip & wipe Dalvik & Cache afterwards.

No need to wipe anything.

That's why you lost your apps & data.
