As we can read in official qualcomm website (https://www.qualcomm.com/news/onq/2016/06/02/qualcomm-aqstic-sets-new-standard-audiophiles), the xiaomi mi5 (as well as HTC 10) has build in qualcomm aqstic, which is hi-res converter that "supports up to 192-kHz/24-bit playback". But is this really true? Or maybe the xiaomi.eu software makes its unable to use? Why i think that its not working? Well in the newsest version of poweramp (alpha-build-704) are same inforamtions about the hardware that you use. In my case it is this first photo. When the HTC 10 with exactly the same chip has this information (2nd photo). Can you solve this problem?

Apple music (app) shows it. It does support the Snapdragon's DAC.

If you have Magisk, install the dolby plugin. It than switches to an upgraded qualcomm driver. Works like a charm on my Mi5S, so I see no reason why you wouldn't profit from it with an Mi5.
