k20p China Dev Rom to EU stable
from 12.5/12.6 to EU stable, will it brick the phone?

what's the proper procedure and which twrp version do i need?

thanks for your input and infos.

Hello,

You will not brick your phone if you do a clean install of the EU ROM. ;)

Procedure is:

1) Unlock the bootloader of your phone (should be already done, I guess?)

2) Download the latest TWRP version for your device => https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=2188818919693777991
--- A) Flash it => fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.5.2_9-0-raphael-TeamWin.img
--- B) After flashing, boot it => fastboot boot twrp-3.5.2_9-0-raphael-TeamWin.img

* Steps 3 & 4 = Do a clean install *

3) Go in "Wipe" menu in TWRP => Tap "Format Data" button => Type "yes" to confirm

4) Go "Back" in the main TWRP's menu => Go in "Reboot" menu => "Recovery"

5) Copy the EU ROM in internal storage of your phone

6) Go in "Install" menu in TWRP => Select the EU ROM => Start the flashing process

7) After flashing, select "Wipe Cache & Dalvik" button => Confirm action (if asked)

8) Go "Back" in main TWRP's menu => Go in "Reboot" menu => "System"

9) Wait 5~15 minutes for the first boot of the ROM

Done! :)

appreciate so much @Pony70 for detailed information.
i had experienced, recently unlock and flash a Mi9T to k20 EU stable rom.

now plan to purchase a second hand k20p phone with china dev rom but had no idea if it is possible.

is that ok to flash a 12.0.x EU stable rom on top to a 12.5/6 China dev rom?
