Lockscreen doesn't show missed calls or unread texts

I'm currently running MIUI on a HTC G2/HTC Desire Z. So far, I've tried several different lockscreens and none of the icons change to show that I have any missed calls or unread texts. However, the notification does show in the status bar. Does anyone know how to fix this?

you have to customize it by long pressing and menu of widget will pop up. From there you can select Missed calls message widgets.

You should customize it....in that i shows the option like "show missed calls" select that field after that it works automatically...

Where is the option to enable showing missed calls though?
