New Manual Network Search (lte ?)

Hi,

I am new, just got my Redmi 4x Global and unlocked.
First I tried the original rom, which worked fine.
I could switch with sim cards.
With 6.xx stable no problems.

With 7.xx I am having problems with sim cards.

If I try to search gsm network manually, the phone goes off.
This also happens when the phone is seaching automatically.

Maybe a problem with LTE band 20? just a wild guess.

Anyone familiar with this?


I really like the phone and also this rom.

Am I really the only on who has this problem?

The search fail occurs only with Sim 1.
Seems that when it tries to search for LTE, the phone crashes and goes off.

Sim 2 completes the search, but does not give 3G or 4G in the list.

Okay, with a search this problem seems to be wider.

After a few trials I found out the next.

Put your sim with Data in Sim 2 slot.
Assign the data to sim 2.
Call's to <ask> or sim 2

Now you will be able to have stable connection and no network problems.
Still can't search network manually on Sim 1
Search on Sim 2 works perfect, Sim 2 also has 4G/LTE.
Even Wifi does not disturb the connection
I have succes with this for atleast 4 days now with 8.2.16.0 Stable.
After 1 or 2 weeks of succes I will try Nougat, because here's where the problems started.

Still it is a bug, but for me a good work around which I can live with.

Update from HM4X_V8.2.18.0.MAMCNEA_v8-6.0 to M9 works great too.
No manual search, but auto search works too.
No freezes anymore.

Seemed to be a VoLTE problem.
