ALL YOU ARE DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND WAIVE ANY OF THEIR OWN RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DEFECTS CAUSED TO YOUR PHONE

Hi.

I have buy brand new Mi 4c with some MIUI 7.1.x.x ROM with gapps working flawlessly.

Yesterday i updated it with officiall miui8 ROM but on my horror no gapps and installation of gapps is also a horror... So i must find the method for flashing phone with bootloader locked ;)

All methods described not working for me. Must combine small parts from all tutorials to find what is working.

Now here are description:

0. Install QPST driver (Quallcom) for Your phone from this LINK

1. Must download and install 7zip from net and on phone turn on Developer mode/USB Debugging (phone must be recognised as usb debugging device)

2. Download huge file from this LINK and unzip it
Here is Decryption Key: !RkUhPReRc5FpxtN9EdLxts6y5pw_wqwvpxqnkgO_nJg

3. From that file install minimal adb fastboot in adb folder created on root of a C:

Copy twrp3020libra.img to adb folder on root disk

4. Install MiFlashSetup (take attention that must be a 64bit MiFlash…). On all questions click on Yes or Continue till successful installation

5. Uzip “libra_images_V7.1.4.0.LXKCNCK_20151209.0000.6_5.1_cn.tar.gz” a couple of times till get a simple folder with a couple of files inside.

6. Run installed MiFlash and in bottom line click FlashAll dot. After that in explorer navigate to unzipped folder with “libra_images_V7.1.4.0...” and copy adress from navigated folder to adress bar on the top of a MiFlasher

7. Connect Your phone with a PC and navigate to adb folder on C: disk. Hold Shift button and right mouse button to clikc Start cmd from here…

After cmd start, type adb devices to see if Your phone properly recognised. You should get some output sdfjhsdjfhj adb device (example)

8. If recognised type adb reboot edl to put phone in QCOMM dowload mode

9. After reboot to edl mode click Refresh button on Your MiFlash to recognise Your phone as a COM10 or COMx port

10. After all succeed click Flash button and wait some time (5-10min)

11. After flasshing success move cable from Your phone and hold Power pressed till phone switch on and wait about 10min to biit the system

12. Voila. All done, and Your BootLoader now is unlocked!

ENJOY!

P.S. After all, must flash TWRP from attached folder and through TWRP reflash Your phone with desired Mi 4c ROM.

When boot to TWRP, don’t touch anything a couple of minutes (2-3min) till screen turn off. After that click Power button and swype it to unlock. That’s all procedure. Don’t scarry of a phone is damaged...

This method DO NOT REAL unlock.
It only for revert from LOCKED to NOT LOCKED state.
NOT LOCKED state IS NOT equals officially UNLOCKED

Good job,neogeo,

I have a Mi4c and exactly the same happened to me a few days ago and so was able to restore very similarly.

Very good post, to consider from mi4c users

But today my question is about ROM's. Looking to upgrade the ROM I found these:

· Miui_MI4c_6.9.1_aa924cdbb4_5.1 (978.4MB) Sep 01, 2016 | 9:57 a.m
· MI4c_Libra_MiUi8-6.9.1.zip (737.1MB) Sep 02, 2016 | 7:45 a.m.
· ·Xiaomi.eu_multi_MI4c_6.9.1_v8-5.1.zip (702.3MB ) Sep 01, 2016 | 10:59 PM
· MI4c_Libra_StableV8.0.4.0.zip (739.6MB) Sep 01, 2016 | 1:54 a.m.
·· Miui_MI4c_V8.0.1.0.LXKCNDG_3cc521bbb3_5.1.zip (994.4MB) Aug 29.2016 | 1:26 a.m.
· Xiaomi.eu_multi_MI4c_V8.0.4.0.LXKCNDG_v8-5.1.zip (704.9MB) Aug 31, 2016 | 1:24 PM

if I rejected Chinesse official ROMs from rest I have manydoubts about that I should install

any suggestions?

Thank you very much

thanks,
6.9.1 stable ROM installed
so far so good , testing now, even though battery use seems a bit high, higher than the previous ROM, (with less apps installed than previous ROM)
I test in coming days
