Mi 5 Gps On Nougat

Hello all
Have an issue on Nougat ROM.
Google maps, here maps, other GPS and navigate soft can't find/lost sattelites or searching sattelites takes 15-20 min. without network (gsm or wi-fi). With network situation is not so good too.
On Mi Note Pro GPS working perfectly and blowing fast.

I downgrade to 6.12.22 - there it works, the gps fix in my flat was in a view seconds, realy quick

I'm on last developer build, not stable

I'm on latest dev (29). Indoors it took a bit of time to get a fix, but after about half a minute it worked fine.

For me it looks like that it tooks a little bit longer on 6.12.29 as on 6.12.22

After many posts on forum when after updating to 7.0 (with wiping system) people have brick mi5 this solution is not so safe

Because during wipe of system partition you are formating also efs partition where phone is keeping imien number etc.

Maybe the problem is if you have installed an old supersu.
I had installed supersu 2.78 on my mi5 (this was the version when the update came to android 7). Now on 6.12.22 (xiaomi.eu and not *******) i installed supersu 2.79. So gps and mail sync now works very well
For this time i'm not interested to try supersu 2.79 on 6.12.29 - maybe a other one

Before i have not tested it without supersu. I always install(ed) supersu to make airplay (Airaudio app) and dolby atmos workable (dolby atmos i think is without supersu workable)
But i do not really know if the old supersu was the problem
I also must look till tomorrow if the problems really are gone.

Yes, if you are on 8.1.7 GPS indeed works really poor. Finding satelites takes longer when outside and some apps that use location services are also incapable of getting the location.

I'm having the same problem after upgrading to 6.12.29 and then to 7.1.5. Checked various apps permissions and they are fine. It takes ages to fix gps. What has superSu to so with it?

Where did you find 8.1.7.0?

Absulut no problem, went outside and tried with MAPS and HERE, navigation works fine, i get a fix of 10 sattelites within 10 Sec.
MI3/32 MIUI 8.2 by xiaomi.eu 7.1.5 Beta

Tried a clean install, even did a clean miflash install of both the latest global and chinese dev roms, all with a terrible GPS connection.

Tried a Lineage nightly, which improved it a bit but not fantastic either...

A few weeks ago I had no problems at all with my GPS, and I really need this on my phone.

The only solution for you is to flash back to latest working ROM, to evaluate if its SW or HW issue.
