Hello, here my report on this release:
1) unlock with bluetooth "mi band" doesn't work always
2) Wi-Fi signals are poors but not for all Wi-Fi access points
3) sometimes the notification/ring volume is loud
4) no visible difference about battery drain but sometime the phone is hot in the pocket

I love xiaomi's products but I'm thinking to downgrade to 5.12.17 and come back to a more efficient phone

Is there anyone with similar experiences?

Bye
Luca

Hi, i'm feeling the same things :

1) unlock with bluetooth "mi band" doesn't work always > Me too
2) Wi-Fi signals are poors but not for all Wi-Fi access points > not touched
3) sometimes the notification/ring volume is loud > Me too, put the volum down in the parameters works but the minimal is very loud in fact.
4) no visible difference about battery drain but sometime the phone is hot in the pocket > no problem with heat and battery (hard to notice with 3000 mAh)

For me :
  • no french translation, while users updating their phone from 5.12.X have the old translation for kitkat and it seems to work well on Marshmallow.
  • Daily lock screen, doesn't seems to work well, or i'm a noob (^^)
  • loss of Google options (disable security check on install etc) in Parameters > Account > Google (i thing it's not a bug, it's in the miui 7 but it's too bad)
Precision : I have wiped all ma phone with miflash and the Developer China 6.2.4 (full wiped phone) before getting the 6.2.4 dev from Xiaomi.eu. So maybe wifi signals or battery draining can be resolving with that ?

I started marshmallow in 6.1.29 from xiaomi.eu (with the same miflash process and a 6.1.29 or 21 china developer). But I tried to go back to kitkat whitout success (impossible to recreate all partitions like system2) so I have wiped again my phone with miflash and 6.2.4 chine developer release and reflash it with the xiaomi.eu 6.2.4.

This is not true. Back to kitkat is very hard, but feasible.
You need to clear FASTBOOT mode with chinese.bin
After you need an old kitkat fastboot ROM and MiFlash and your PC.

I managed twice.
If you can succeed, then you can write new thread about this method...

I remember that to upgrade at 6.2.4 it's necessary start from 5.12.17 and i did it!
From your point of view is it easy come back to the previous via "updater"?

Use it and works but same problem with Wi-Fi signal. I think that there's something of wrong at hardware level at this point :(
