Dear Xiaomi Eu Members

I tried to unlock my bootloader. But, its failed. Due to this message

"Сouldn`t verify device.
Current account is different from the account info on the device. "

I used same id for my phone and mi unlock.

Any one can help me.

Thanks in advanced

I resolved it few days ago swapping from "Global Stable" to "Global Developer". Download it from miui and install it througth Updater app. Good luck with it!

Make sure your phone number used for unlocking is added to the i.mi.com and location is enabled.
Big brother is wathing you... :)

Finally my Mi4c bootloader is unlocked! Oh yeah!
1. Of course, requested unlock from xiaomi's pals
2. After one day, sms with verification arrived.
3. downloaded official unlock application for windows
then I got stuck at 50% and the message "could not verify device"
4.Read sooo many posts is a bunch of forums, posted some comments and answer here and there
5. (I had already) Enabled developer and usb debugging
one week passed by every-day trying for a couple of times
6. Disabled windows signature verification
7. Disabled phones lock pattern
7. Swapped my sim card 2 with sim card 1 as until now it happened to be the card 2 this which I used to sign to xiaomi, so I swapped to be sure
8. Disabled, reboot and re-enabled "find my device"
Finally, after today's try, my phone bootloader is unlocked!!

Already pass a week now from i got the sms from xiaomi.

try this method with a big hope but its still said "Couldn't verify device" - "Current account is different from the account info on the device"

I could unlock by next steps.
1. "Settings" -> "Additional Settings" -> "Developer Options"
2. I changed "OEM unlocking" to ON
3. "Mi Unlock status" probably "Locked". I can taped "add device ...(I forgot correct message...)" on bottom
4. I try Unlock from Mi Flash Unlock.
5. Successed

And I disabled phones lock pattern.
I used Global Developer version MIUI8(MIUI 8 Global 7.3.16 Beta)

Cant unlock bootloader in global stable. you must to be in Developer rom to be able to unlock the bootloader!

Nope, you can unlock stable ROMs. I had the same issue and just unlocked my Redmi Note 4 SD running stable 8.2.4.0.
Some people recommend to locate device first in Mi Cloud portal what I did, but that was not the solution for me.
The final solution was step 3 of the steps below. It said lock status is locked, but there was a button to "register device",
which I did. Afterwards unlock using the official unlock app work properly.

1. "Settings" -> "Additional Settings" -> "Developer Options"
2. I changed "OEM unlocking" to ON
3. "Mi Unlock status" probably "Locked". I can taped "add device ...(I forgot correct message...)" on bottom

On my Mi5s on global 8.0.3.0 is missing entire OEM Unlock menu. So that was not possible in that way.
